Apurv Mehotra
BOH, BDS, FOHE (UWA) Principal Dental Practitioner Dr. Apurv Mehotra graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Dental Surgery in India in 2007. His particular interest was in providing oral health promotion to the wider Indian community. After moving to Australia in 2008, he completed his studies for Community Work in 2010. To further his focus in the community health field, Apurv again returned to study. He graduated as an Oral Health Therapist with Adult Dentistry Scope of Practice from Latrobe University in 2016, which broadened his dental clinical skills. Since 2016, Apurv has been “taking dentistry to the community” by working in schools and aged care facilities, both in the greater metropolitan area, as well as throughout regional South Australia, to support good oral health practices by provision of clinical expertise. Dr. Apurv Mehotra continues to be a wonderful ambassador of the success of the International Research Collaborative – Oral Health and Equity Programs. He is currently undertaking his Masters in Dental Public Health through the University of Western Australia. Most recently in July 2021, he was nominated in multiple categories of the Australian Dental and Oral Health Therapists Association awards in the 'Health Promoter of the Year', 'Volunteer of the Year' and 'Clinical Leader of the Year' categories. |
